WOMEN EMPOWERMENT CENTRES

Women suffer the clutches of patriarchy the most, they are the most vulnerable section of the society. Our programmes are aimed at providing awareness on women rights and connecting them to the resources, to receive government benefits and drive them towards empowerment.

Self-help groups

In order to achieve good changes in their community, the project works to establish Self Help Groups (SHGs) and provide women a significant social and leadership role. In turn, there will be a decrease in borrowing money from private money lenders at high interest rates as a result of the ladies developing a regular saving habit. Entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply for loans for operating capital whenever they need it. The project helps and directs the groups to be able to access banks for credit.

Empowerment programmes

This is a sensitization programme for women about their socio-political rights. It is a programme designed to increase the status of women in socio-political sphere. The significance of the women's position in local bodies is being brought home to them. Men, women, and children of all ages are being made aware of gender issues. S kill training programs are implemented with the goal of assisting women in developing new skills necessary to launch their own businesses as part of the income generation programme.
